Product Range and capabilities:

A J Metal Products manufactures both a standard range of Air Receivers as well as bespoke Pressure Vessels to clients own specifications, including:

1. Standard Air Receivers
   • 11 bar vertical and horizontal from 50 - 5,000 litres

   • 14 bar vertical and horizontal from 50 - 5,000 litres

2. Non Standard Air Receivers

   • Made to customers own specifications, for example very small or very large receivers up to 100 bar.

3. Vacuum Vessels for the Medical Industry and Vacuum Pump Installations and Vacuum Furnaces.

   • Made to customers own specifications.

4. Pressure Vessels and Surge Tanks
   • Ranging from 2 to 65,000 litres
   • Applications include:
     • Water and sewage for the Water Industry.
     • Foam Tanks for fire prevention applications.

     • Propane tanks.

     • Blowdown Vessels.

5. Stainless Steel Pressure Vessels.
6. Basket Filters

   • Filtration vessels for petro-chemical installations.

7. Vessel Refurbishment and Re-Tests
   • We are happy to refurbish or modify your existing vessel - to make longer or shorter for instance, or stripping and cleaning down for re-hydro test and re-painting.  We would be pleased to discuss your specific requirements.

Manufacturing Standards.

All Pressure Vessels and Air Receivers are manufactured in accordance with relevant standards and codes of practice including:

• EN 286 - Simple Unfired Pressure Vessels.
• BS 5169 - Fusion Welded Steel Air Receivers
• PD 5500 - Unfired Fusion Welded Pressure Vessels
• ASME VIII - Pressure Vessels (part of the Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code)
• U Stamped Pressure Vessels to ASME VIII

With legislation for pressurised equipment being governed by the European Regulations such as the "Pressure Equipment Regulations" - or "PER", where applicable, we combine the requirements of the UK's "Pressure Equipment Directive" 97/23/EC with the designated design codes, to produce compliant units for placing on the market within any of the EC member states.

BS EN 286 is a harmonised standard was written to support the Simple Pressure Vessel Directive 87/404/EEC, therefore units designed and manufactured to BS EN 286 are hence compliant with this legislation.
